An Air Brake Endorsement on your driver's license is a special endorsement that allows a driver to operate a vehicle equipped with an air brake system. This Air Brakes Endorsement is also known as Code 15.

An Air Brake Course for class 1 students is included in our Class 1 MELT Program.

Planning on pursuing a commercial driving career as a class 2 or 3 driver? You may require an Air Brake Course.  (If you are not pursuing a class 2 or 3 licence you will need the Air Brake Endorsement Course to add air to your current class 5/7N licence).

To get an Air Brake Endorsement, drivers must complete a 7-hour ICBC-approved Air Brake Course. Drivers must also successfully complete a computerized knowledge test at ICBC and pass a practical certification test.
